The Physical Education department acquires skills and knowledge necessary to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
PE department fosters a high level of competition and school spirit while emphasizing good sportsmanship, teamwork, and both personal and collective excellence.
Our goals are:
- To promote proper growth and development through vigorous physical activity.
- To develop skills and coordination
- To learn correct attitudes of cooperation and sportsmanship through group activity.
- To learn social skills and poise.
- To promote good posture and improve the balance and rhythm of body mechanics.
- To develop good habits related to personal hygiene, safety, care and use of facilities and equipment.
- To learn to play and compete ethically.
- To develop a healthy self image and strive to be the best they can be.
Extra curricular activities are held after school or on Saturdays in School for different age groups. Such activities include self defense, different types of dancing, taek won do, gymnastics, ping pong, basketball, soccer and handball. Each student has the opportunity to participate in any activity. The After School activities program is for the purpose of offering students ways to develop specific concepts, skills, attitudes and actions necessary to maintain a health and fitness level under the supervision of well trained instructors. These sports can provide a venue for socialization, character building, teamwork and self-esteem.
