Social Studies

The Social Studies Department aims to nurture students identity and belonging to their own culture and heritage. It works on developing a sense of responsibility and the ability to make decisions and benefit their society in order to be productive citizens. It also develops students' abilities to examine the past as means to understand the present and anticipate the future. It reinforces respect and awareness of the diversity of human culture and heritage

Our goals are :

- appreciate and evaluate their own culture and heritage.
- be aware of their role in society as responsible, productive citizens in a democratic society
- understand and respect human behavior, beliefs and culture diversity.
- understand and explain natural phenomena and their impact on human life.
- apply the knowledge and skills necessary for active participation in social work and community service.
